Senior Account Executive

Our energetic and aggressive team is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and proven Software Sales Account Executive to join our team. The Account Executive will be based in our Newburyport, MA headquarters and will be responsible for developing a sound territory strategy, following up on leads, closing new customers, and servicing existing accounts. The proven sales professional will have a track record of previous success for meeting or exceeding sales quotas for a successful software company in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Understand customer’s business and technology product requirements
  2. Learn Blueforce product features; encapsulate and present effectively to customers
  3. Identify, measure and communicate business benefits of Blueforce solutions
  4. Establish a good working relationship with Blueforce executives and our partner channels
  5. Establish and grow new and existing accounts
  6. Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales quota

Required Experience, Education and Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of outside software sales experience
  2. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  3. Dedication, desire for success, highly driven and have a positive attitude
  4. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills; including proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  5. Enterprise software sales experience as well as existing contacts in target markets a major plus
  6. Travel up to 50% of the time

Senior Platform Support Engineer

Blueforce is looking for a motivated Senior Platform Support Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in the North Shore Region of Massachusetts. The Senior Platform Support Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting Blueforce software within our own infrastructure as well as our customers. The Senior Network Support Engineer will also manage Blueforce hosted infrastructure working in conjunction with our sales team and our channels as a key technical support resource for our products and services. The Senior Network Support Engineer must be able to articulate our technology and product positioning to both business and technical users and be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the deployment and post-sales process.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform regular monitoring & basic diagnostics of network related issues and drive them to closure
  2. Proactively identify, diagnose, analyze and troubleshoot issues with customer networks as well as the Blueforce cloud network
  3. Research alternative solutions or workarounds and know their impact on the network
  4. Implement regular upgrades to the network
  5. Document issues and solutions in the Knowledge Base
  6. Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams as well as deliver post-sales mission support through installation and customer enablement support
  7. Able to travel up to 25% of the time

Required Experience, Education and Skills:

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in network management, server platform management, support, and a knowledge of current network technologies. Candidate must be comfortable in non-predictable environments as well as the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Ideal candidate will be organized and analytical.

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar; Certifications: N+, CCNA & CCNP preferred
  2. 3-5 years of experience in Networking Industry in a customer-facing role
  3. Extensive experience with Windows Server 2003 and above, and SQL Server 8.0 and above is required
  4. Networking: OSI Layer, Knowledge of Switches, Routers, Firewalls, LAN (Switching), WAN, TCP/IP Suite & UDP, IPsec, and information security
  5. Team player with positive attitude as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
